Installation Meeting at Ridgmont House

High on the hills above Horwich adjacent to Ridgmont Park nestling in the pleasant countryside lies Ridgmont House. Ridgmont House is home to, along with several other Orders, Ridgmont Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners.

Ridgmont Royal Ark Mariners meet on the Second Friday in March and November and the Second Monday in September and on Monday 13th. September 2021 a number of Royal Ark Mariners made their way up to Ridgmont House to attend the Installation Meeting of Ridgmont Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners.
Worshipful Commander welcomes W. Bro. John Waring R.A.M.G.R.
The Lodge was opened at 6.30pm by the Worshipful Commander Brother Clive E. Butterworth who welcomed the principal guest for the evening Worshipful Brother John Waring Royal Ark Mariner Grand Rank representing the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master Keith Alan Beardmore.

Worshipful Brother Butterworth was Proclaimed Worshipful Commander until the next Installation Meeting. The Worshipful Commander the appointed and invested his officers for the year. A ballot to place for a new member which proved favourable, looks like the Worshipful Commander and his officers will be busy at the next Meeting.
Worshipful Commander is congratulated by Representing Officer, Director of Ceremony and
Provincial Grand Masters Special Representative W. Bro. David H. Robinson P.Prov.G.J.W.
After a couple of items of an administrative nature the Worshipful Commander closed the Lodge. The Brethren repaired to the bar/lounge for a refresher on a warm evening. Dinner was a delightful three courses followed by coffee. Ridgmont Hose is noted for its excellent cuisine and tonight was no exception  and after the usual toasts the Brethren made their way home another excellent night of freemasonry over.
